There is no doubt the fundamentals matter, however there are a few more things you can do along side them right now, even if you’re still working on the basics. The methods in this article aren’t overly advanced, however they are certainly powerful and should be included in your growth strategy.

1. Community Focus

A focus on community building can have powerful impacts on your streams growth. Whether you have been streaming for a long time or you’re just starting out, it’s well worth putting effort into community building.

A great place to start is with a Discord server and a sub-reddit. Both services are free to use and make it quite easy to establish a community. All you need is a catchy name born from chat and you are on your way!

Once you have a home for your community, encourage your community to share clips, memes and anything else that may be related to your streams. You might be amazed at just how much your reach increases by doing so.

2. Competitions and Giveaways

People love competitions and giveaways and the best thing is, they don’t have to have elaborate prises to be effective. Gift cards and game codes make for awesome prises and they don’t have to be internationally shipped, saving you money and a potential headache.

There are multiple ways to run competitions and giveaways. Some streamers prefer to make them only available to subscribers while others will leave them open to everyone. I personally believe a mix of both options works really well and is the best way to go.

There are plenty of 3rd party services for running competitions available or with a bit of creativity you can come up with your own method. All that’s really important is that the service is easy to use and offers what you need. A quick google search will reveal your options for 3rd party options.

3. Stream Discovery Services

There may not be a huge amount of stream discovery services out there, however finding them and making use of them can be a game changer!

Back in the glory days of the internet, Guestbooks were a big deal. Every 90’s and early 00’s website that was worth something, made use of one, and they were fun!

I’ve wanted to bring to the concept over to our KICK chat for a while now but just haven’t had the time to put it together, until now!

Entries are added to the Guestbook with the command !guestbook in chat. It’s doesn’t cost any points and it’s a public command, no need to be a subscriber. Entries are limited to one per person,

The Guestbook is publicly viewable and usernames are automatically turned into their corresponding KICK URL making it not only a neat book to sign but also another method for discoverability.

After nearly 12 months of solely LIVE streaming TikTok, I’ve finally started streaming on KICK! You can find my new channel here: TyGatti

I’ve decided to start on KICK because, well it’s just time. In the 12 months I’ve been on TikTok, I’ve received 44 suspensions. Each suspension comes with its own troubles, you fall out of ranks, you fall of the for you page and TikTok stops sending LIVE notifications.

KICK Makes More Sense For Me…

TikTok has been a great training ground and we have used the platform to connect with what has now become our awesome community, The Ghost Crew Nation. However KICK just offers a better all round user experience without all the battles, ranks and other features like TikTok. We are able to be more about the content then ever before on KICK and I think that’s just rad.

I’ll Still Be On TikTok… For The Time Being

I’m not ditching TikTok just yet. TikTok has been our home for so long that it’s hard to just walk away from the platform entirely. I’ll be streaming less frequently on TikTok but I’ll still be around.
