It didn’t. I have tested and tested this panel with no luck. They test it and of course it works… I bring it back to mum and dads and we’ll, surprise, surprise, same problem still. I tested it on 2 chargers and same result, not working. Tested my other panels, all working. I had to pull the panel apart at this stage and we’ll I think I found the problem. The wiring is horrible and there is no way it can preform consistantly. I’m not sure if I should fix it or just take it back yet again.

I started working on a stat’s tracking system this afternoon and I’m hoping it provides some useful insights into streaming and should also provide another part of the framework we need for the ghost tools.

I’m pretty low on power and the rain this morning did not help with that. I’ve spent the afternoon trying to get more power in.

I filmed the video for the kings warranty on the other solar panel, fingers crossed!

I fixed the survival points system as it wasn’t auto updating the points anymore. I also, at slothies request added the list of commands for the system on the overlay.

I started the day early and got a lot done of the power system.

I took the old AGM bank out this morning and man, oh man was it heavy. The new 120ah lithium batteries from kings went in smoothly! I connected them and found that, as expected my 40amp dc to dc charger was having issues so I bypassed it and added in the 25amp charger from kings.

I tried to get as much charge into them as I could today and I guess we will see how we go tonight!

To be able to stream tonight I’ve had to run the van alot, it can be a pain as the alternator gets a but warm while running at low rpm on the spot.

I made a new cable to connect the 25amp dc to dc for the lithium pack into the system and it works well.

I’ve run the van a lot today to try and bring the main bank back up and I’ve noticed it’s certainly degraded. At a reading of 90% on the renogy shunt the battery is reading a voltage of 12.3. This is 70% on agm not 90%, this is leaving me with a maximum of 30% for stream. Quite a tricky situation…

I finished the battery box today and it should make things a lot easier. I’ve been struggling with power and reception for a few months now, starlink solved the reception and I’m hoping this solves the power issues.

The battery box contains a kings 120ah lithium battery and is charged by a kings 25amp dc to dc with a built in mppt controller. The battery box needs to portable so we can power stream equipment in the field. This setup isn’t much over 10kg and I think is going to fit its purpose well!
